Originally established in 1990 as the Denver-based office
of a
large, multinational,
environmental, engineering and
scientific consultancy company (Intera Sciences, Inc. and QuantiSci, Inc.) Monitor Scientific LLC became
an employee-owned (categorized as a women-owned, small business limited liability company in 1999.)
Our services are focused on providing our clients with the information, methodologies, and software required to achieve
the reliability and transparency necessary to make informed decisions on environmental issues. To provide this technical
support, Monitor Scientific has assembled a wide range of scientific, engineering and management expertise in a diverse
array of disciplines. Areas of staff expertise include: geochemistry, geology, chemistry, physics, chemical engineering,
nuclear engineering, health physics, hydrology, ecology and computer science. Many of our staff are recognized leaders
in their technical fields. Monitor Scientific's strength is in its ability to effectively integrate across these disciplines to evaluate
the complexity of a technical issue and to provide innovative, multi-disciplinary solutions, from simple scoping analyses
to more complex calculations involving coupled physical and chemical processes. Our technical support services include:
safety and risk assessments of environmental systems, development of improved barrier designs for waste
isolation, conceptual design and evaluation of remedial actions, regulatory compliance support, system
analysis of the isolation and potential migration of contaminants, and development of client-bespoke software.
